Effective October 1, the Alberta government will increase the minimum wage from $10.20 per hour to $11.20 per hour. The minimum wage for liquor servers will also increase from $9.20 per hour to $10.70 per hour. This is the first of two steps to eliminate entirely the separate liquor server rate in 2016.
