Jungik (James) Moon, J.D. — Articling Student

Jungik (James) Moon

Jungik (James) is an articling student at Minken Employment Lawyers. He completed his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. His unique and balanced perspective on employment relationships comes from his family of business owners as well as his working as a reporter at the Korea Times Daily.

James’ interest in employer-employee relationships further developed during his time at Osgoode Hall Law School.  Assisting at the Ontario Small Claims Court, he helped many clients resolve employment contract disputes.

James has also recognized the importance of conflict prevention and resolution while studying at Osgoode. As an avid negotiation competitor in Denton Cup, James excelled in identifying both sides’ interests and formulating a correct strategy to meet the goals of his clients. The genuine interest in negotiation allowed him to become a negotiation coach/teaching assistant for the Lawyer as Negotiator course at Osgoode Hall Law School.

As a former educator, newspaper reporter and YouTube personality, James is experienced at simplifying complex ideas and effectively communicating with his clients to get the most favourable result.

James enjoys competing in Judo, personal fitness and is an outdoor activities enthusiast.
