Kyle represents employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters, including human rights complaints, wrongful and constructive dismissals, employment standards violations, employment contract disputes, allegations of violence and harassment at the workplace. He is also very skilled in providing legal guidance on the drafting of policies, contracts and other documentation protecting the working relationship. Kyle views each situation and each case as a unique opportunity to help clients secure their rights and protect their interests. He is an effective negotiator and a strategic litigator. Kyle is known as an excellent teammate who analyzes each case from multiple perspectives, identifying all issues and gaining the most complete picture possible.
Appreciating the impact jobs and businesses have on people’s livelihood and wellness, Kyle found that the best way to make a difference in their lives was through prevention and resolution of employment law issues.

Kyle believes that expertise comes from a commitment to continuous and ongoing learning. He chairs the firm’s educational meetings and has written articles on many employment law topics for the firm’s website. Kyle has co-authored papers that have been presented at educational seminars hosted by the Ontario Bar Association and The Law Society of Ontario. His other writings include contributions to articles for publications such as Canadian Employment Law Today, The Canadian Employer, Law Times, and quarterly legal columns in both Magazine for Business and Your Business Magazine.
Kyle pursued legal studies at the University of Windsor’s Law School after completing his Honours B.A. at the University of Western Ontario. He has been practicing exclusively in employment law since the beginning of his legal career and joined Minken Employment Lawyers in 2008.
Kyle enjoys public speaking and uses these engagements as opportunities to give back to the community. He has appeared as a guest speaker for organizations including Human Resources Professionals Association, York Region Law Association, and various Boards of Trade and Chambers of Commerce across the province.
Kyle is a member of The Law Society of Ontario and the York Region Law Association, as well as a the Chair of the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce.
