In June of 2015, Mr. Carter retired from active practice with the best wishes of our firm. He will continue to assist the firm as a member of its caselaw review group.
Mr. Carter has served as general counsel to significant GTA corporations, such as Honeywell Canada. He practiced business and employment law for many years, with an emphasis on integrated advice to owner-managers of small and medium size enterprises.
With a continued commitment to sharing knowledge, Mr. Carter has taught Business Law at Humber College, and regularly facilitates workshops at the YMCA Small Business Centre in Markham on the Legal Fundamentals of Starting a Business.
Mr. Carter graduated with degrees in both law and commerce at McGill University in Montreal and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1978. He is a member of the Toronto Computer Lawyers Group and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
