In order to improve accountability and transparency, the Alberta government has implemented a new public service compensation disclosure policy. Compensation for all government employees with base salaries higher than $100,000 will now be publicly disclosed, including salaries, benefits and severance amounts. Employee contracts and termination agreements may also be posted where applicable.

Salary and severance disclosures will be generated directly from government financial systems and will be online at Alberta.ca. All compensation disclosure information from 2012 and 2013 will be posted by January 31, 2014.
